Our friends at TezTown recently organized their #TezWild event which was an event themed around raising awareness for endangered animals from across the world. If you're curious about any past events that TezTown has helped organize, check out some of our previous coverage: #OutOfThisWorld and #SavePakistan.
Winners of #TezWild were announced this week and so we'll be showcasing prize winners, honorable mentions, in addition to general event submissions. We'll also have a playlist that's continually being updated that you can find here.
Prize Winners
Congratulations to all of the winners!
- Milkweed Men by @WeirdScience8_0 - Grand Prize - this is a beautiful tribute to the Monarch butterflies and points out how everyone can help by simply planting milkweed.
- Mystery 19 by @Folk_ArtNFT - 1st runner up - It is a meditation on the ritualistic practice of killing deer for their antlers and a reflection on how it made the artist feel.
- Amur Leopard (more rare than) - 2nd runner up - This is a reimagining of the endangered animal as a cyberpunk-trash band created by @MSTRVLDZ.
Honorable Mentions
A job well done to all the honorable mentions as well.
- Dis & reconnect by @Alteredgenie is a recollection of a psychedelic experience that reconnected the artist to the natural world and urges others to have the same perspective.
- Withered branch by @NurArt_ presents a beautiful portrait of resilience, about standing your ground until it's all you have left, as represented by the bird on it's last withered branch.
- Ianner falcon by @Nazibagheri80 gives us a lovely watercolor of the Ianner falcon and some fast facts about the bird of prey.
- Save the Majesetic Amur Leopard is an absolutely beautiful piece of work by @tery depicting the Amur Leopard, which was one of the focal points of the event.
The Days Ahead
We'll be continuing to highlight submissions to the event throughout the rest of this week. You can see all the items we've featured for this event on our TezWild playlist. Each day we'll be adding new items to it, so keep an eye on that if you want to follow things.
Thanks again to TezTown and everyone who helped organize the TezWild event, with a special thank you to myknash & Lily White for helping coordinate things with DNS. We're looking forward to another week of raising awareness for a good cause.
