We've been hard at work on improving the homepage, and we're finally ready to show it off today.
Meet the new-new DNS.xyz.
So what are we looking at here?
- Left column has links to home and about pages
- Underneath the links is where your playlists reside. Playlists allow you to create arbitrary lists of NFTs, not just music!
- The column on the right displays a quick link to your own profile at the very top, in addition to a list of all the people that you've followed on DNS.xyz
- The first section people will see is a scrollable list of artists and NFTs that the curation team has added.
- At the bottom of this screen you can see our music player minimized, similar to what you would expect with other music players.
This next section a little further down the page has a "Tracks We Love" and a "Suggested Artists" section. With our emphasis on music NFTs, we've decided to give them a more prominent position. These sections are also 100% curated by the team. (If you have any suggestions on music that should be featured, let us know!)
Rounding out the bottom of the page, we've got some more sections that we can fill up with content.
- Playlists section is filled with lists that the curators themselves have made, or have been submitted to us by the community and vetted. (We need more playlists!)
- Genre section pulls it's data from the tags on the NFTs themselves.
- Curated collections is a section for showing off user created collections that we enjoy.
- And the amazing art section is just another area that the curators can display cool art.
The cool thing about all of these sections is that we can customize it to our heart's content. If there's a community event happening we can switch things up to feature those artworks. We can highlight individual artists too.
We think the new homepage is going to be great, but it's going to require a stream of good quality content. If you're interested in showing off your curation skills or trying something new, put something together and show us.
